A Good Day 2019 - An Amazing Day of Innovative Activities to Do Good!

How can we do more for the social issues and communities we care about?

Come learn about our society's most pressing issues through a variety of innovative activities! From mental health to single parents, discover how you can contribute to creating a more inclusive and caring Singapore.

Last year's edition saw 120 people participating in 12 innovative activities and this year, we want to do it again!

I didn’t really know a lot about mental health previously. Through the activity, I learnt more about the anxiety that people go through when they have mental health issues. It actually inspires me to find out more about this topic and how I can help to do more good”

– Joan, participant

I've recently moved to Singapore and the activities helped me to understand more about seniors, migrant workers and bullying in Singapore. I'm excited to see how I can get involved and do my part to contribute.

- Elsa, participant

What will I get to experience at A Good Day 2019?

  • Gain a deeper understanding into Singapore's most pressing social issues through innovative activities

  • Meet the inspiring changemakers behind the activities and hear their stories of starting social impact initiatives

  • Discover new volunteer opportunities

  • Connect with other leaders, movement builders and purpose-driven humans who want to create positive change

This year's A Good Day will have 6 brand new activities covering a diverse range of Singapore's most pressing social issues, including: Food Waste, Single Parents, Intergenerational Bonding, Migrant Workers, Aphasia, Differently-Abled and more.

You can choose to participate in 2 of these 6 activities, here's a quick look at them!

How can I participate?

Our vision is for A Good Day to be an annual event that inspires more people to care about social issues and actually do something about it, while also fundraising to continue the operations of A Good Space.

Tickets to A Good Day cost $39 last year, with all proceeds being used to sustain the A Good Space community. This year, we are collaborating with the national SkillsFuture Movement to champion doing good as a life skill for everyone.

As part of our collaboration, tickets this year will be complimentary. However, if you choose to register, we ask that you acknowledge the costs and effort our changemakers have put in by making 2 pledges:

1. Make a commitment to attend

If you register and are unable to attend, please pass on your ticket to someone. If not, please make a contribution of $39 (equivalent to the value of one ticket) to A Good Space.

2. Consider taking action

Either through volunteering or contributing your ideas to the social causes or communities represented at A Good Day. Together, we can have many helping hands to create a better Singapore.

If you have any questions, please contact Vincent at vincentng@nvpc.org.sg.

We are also hoping to raise funds for the continuation of A Good Space (AGS), a community of ordinary changemakers who care about different social issues and communities in Singapore and create projects to do good, together.

As the funding for AGS comes to an end in July, we are seeking to raise some funds to sustain the community for an additional 4 months as we continue to be in talks with possible corporate or public funders.

If you have enjoyed the activities of A Good Space and benefited from it in any way, we'd love to invite you to consider making a donation.
